Alexander Contee Hanson (b. February 27, 1786, d. April 23, 1819), a Federalist, was a member of the United States Senate, appointed to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Robert G. Harper and serving from December 20, 1816, until his death on his estate in 1819. He also served in the House of Representatives from 1813-1816.
