Allianz Arena

The Allianz Arena is currently under construction and is located in the north-Munich district of Fröttmaning . Due to open on May 30, 2005 with a friendly match between TSV 1860 München & 1. FC Nürnberg, the stadium will play host to the opening game of the 2006 World Cup. With its completion, it will replace the Olympiastadion as the home pitch of FC Bayern München & TSV 1860 München.

Upon completion, the stadium will boast a capacity of 66,000 spectators. The exterior shell will feature 1056 diamond shaped panels, each of which can be individually lit, creating quite a spectacle.
