American Prayer
In 1978, six years after The Doors broke up, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, and John Densmore reunited and recorded backing tracks over Jim Morrison's poetry (recorded between 1967-1970). The result was the album American Prayer (actual title: An American Prayer: Jim Morrison). Morrison's poetry was often too raunchy to use in the sixties. The album received mixed reviews and is today, still considered unusual.
