The Chrysler Sebring is a line of mid-size automobiles sold by the Chrysler Corporation. There have been three entirely different vehicles with this name.
1995
The 1995 through 2000 Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger are the successors to the Plymouth Laser/Eagle Talon coupes. They were built by Diamond Star Motors, the joint venture with Mitsubishi Motors, on a stretched Mitsubishi Galant platform.
The cars have a 103 in (2.62 m) wheelbase and use either a 2.0 liter I4 or a Mitsubishi-designed 2.5 or 3.0 liter V6 .
2001
The current Chrysler Sebring is really two different cars. The coupe is the next-generation Diamond Star Motors product. The sedan and convertible are Chrysler JA platform successors to the Chrysler Cirrus. The Sebring coupe will be discontinued after 2005, and the car will move to a new DaimlerChrysler/Mitsubishi Motors platform for 2007.
