The Daihatsu Sirion is a 4-door hatchback car. It is called the Daihatsu Storia in Japan.

It was launched in 1998 and has undergone two upgrades, one in 2001 and one in 2004/5. The version now on sale in Europe and Australia was released in Japan in June 2004 under the names Daihatsu Boon and Toyota Passo.

1998 - 2001

The 1998 incarnation of the Daihatsui Sirion comes in two engine sizes, 1 litre and 1.3 litre, and is available as a 5-speed manual or an automatic. The 1 litre engine is a 3-cylinder while the 1.3 litre has 4-cylinders, both are petrol and have multi-point fuel injection.

The 1.3 litre version was released in 2000 and has the same engine as the Toyota Yaris.

There are also 2 Rally versions of the car, known as the Rally 2 and the Rally 4, a four wheel drive version called the 4Track and a version with Formula-1 style gear change called the F-Speed.
