Detroit Catholic Central High School

Detroit Catholic Central High School is a private, Catholic, all-male college preparatory high school in Redford Township, Michigan. It is operated by the Congregation of St. Basil and staffed by Basilian fathers and lay teachers. The school was founded in 1928 in Detroit, and was located in several different locations before the current facility. The school colors are royal blue and white, and the athletic teams are referred to as the Shamrocks. Congressman Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI) is a notable Catholic Central alumnus. The school has long had a reputation of excellence both academically and athletically — numerous National Merit Scholars have graduated from CC, and Shamrock teams have won multiple state championships in football, ice hockey, baseball, and cross-country.

In July 2005, the school will relocate to nearby Novi.
