Infiniti M

(Redirected from Infiniti M45)

The M30, M45, and M35 are luxury cars from Nissan's Infiniti marque.

1990

The original 1990 M30 was the mundane middle offering of Nissan's Infiniti brand. It featured a 162 hp 3.0 L V6 shared, along with its front wheel drive platform, with the Nissan Maxima. The vehicle was replaced after 1993 by the more interesting rear wheel drive Infiniti J30. A similar Maxima derivative, the Infiniti I30, was introduced in 1996.

2003

The 2003 M45 is based on the Y34-series Nissan Gloria/Nissan Cedric, with styling similar to the Gloria. The engine is Nissan's 340 hp VQ45DE V8 which produces 333 ft.lbf of torque. The rather Japanese squared-off styling did not make much of a splash on the market, and the M45 sold poorly.

2005

Infiniti released a completely redesigned M45 for the 2006 model year to further compete with its rival automakers' sport-luxury sedans. Based on the Y50-series Nissan Fuga, which uses the FM platform, the M45 is powered by a 4.5 L V8 and produces 335 hp and 340 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, a new 3.5 L V6 version bears the M35 name, and boasts 280 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. All wheel drive is offered as an option on the M35x.
