The Land Rover Range Rover Sport is a high-performance on-road SUV to be sold starting in the Summer of 2005. It shares its platform with the Land Rover LR3 rather than the larger Range Rover.
The top-level Sport will be powered by a supercharged 390 hp 4.2 L AJ-V8, making it the most powerful vehicle in the company's history. A normally-aspirated 4.4 L version will also be produced with 300 hp.
