Mercury Grand Marquis

The Mercury Grand Marquis is a more upscale version of the Ford Crown Victoria produced by the Mercury of Ford Motor Company. In Canada, after the Mercury brand was phased out in 1999, this car was sold as the Ford Grand Marquis and the Crown Vic was withdrawn from that market, except for fleet sales.

Grand Marquis sales outpaced Crown Victoria sales in both 2003 and 2004. 79,329 Grand Marquises were sold in 2004 compared to the lower model Crown Victoria's 70,816. The 2004 U.S. sales of the Grand Marquis surpassed that of every other Lincoln, Mercury, Jaguar, Volvo or Land Rover model.
