Michael Manring is a musician and has worked extensively with Michael Hedges, and many other musicians. Manring was also taught by Jaco Pastorius, who is regarded as one of the instrument's greats, for a period of time.
He plays, among others, a Zon HyperBass. He also plays four strings, fretless, three octave fingerboard, four hipshot tuners, and a bridge with two levers.
