National Loktantrik Party

National Loktantrik Party (National Democratic Party), a political party in India, working amongst the Muslim minority community. The party leader is Dr. Masood Ahmed, a former Bahujan Samaj Party leader and education minister in Uttar Pradesh. Masood broke with BSP when it aligned with Hindu nationalist BJP.

NLP is close to the Indian National Congress.

NLP is opposed to the construction of a Ram temple at the site of Babri Masjid.

In the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, NLP won one MP, Baleshwar Yadav.
