National Technical Institute for the Deaf

The National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) is one of the eight schools comprising Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York. Founded in 1968, it now offers associate's and baccalaureate degrees in technology and closely related fields, and a master's degree in secondary education of deaf or hard-of-hearing students. Students at NTID can also earn degrees from other schools within RIT.

Most students at NTID are deaf or hard of hearing; some hearing students study and earn degrees in ASL-English interpretation.
