Parachutes

This article is about the debut album by the band Coldplay. For the article on the soft fabric device used to slow the motion of an object through an atmosphere by creating drag, see parachute.


Parachutes (2000) was the first album released by the band Coldplay. It quickly shot to number one in the UK and stayed in the top 10 for 33 weeks. The album spawned four singles: "Shiver", "Yellow", "Trouble" and "Don't Panic" (The latter however was not released in the UK).
