Saturn I4 engine

The Saturn automobiles introduced in 1990 used a completely new straight-4 engine. This engine was only used in the Saturn S-series (the SL, SC, and SW), from 1990 through 2002.

The 1.9 L (1901 cc/161 in³) Saturn engine was available in 90 hp SOHC or 120 hp DOHC versions. Bore was 3.23 in and stroke was 3.54 in.

The 2.2 L straight-4 used on the Saturn L-Series, ION, and VUE was a GM Ecotec engine. The normally aspirated version was the L61, while the supercharged version for the 2003 ION Red Line was the LSJ.

The 3.0 L (2962 cc) V6 from the Saturn L-Series and VUE was the 54° V6.

3.5

The 3.5 L (3471 cc) V6 from the Saturn VUE was a Honda unit sold as the GM L66 engine.
