The Secutor (pl. Secutores) form of Murmillo gladiator who was specially armed and trained to fight the Retiarius. The Secutor's helm was different from the distinctive Murmillio helm. The Secutor had only two small eye-holes to prevent the trident from being thrust through the face. Otherwise, he was armed identically to the Murmillio.
