Seil

Seil is one of the Slate Islands, lying west of Argyll in Scotland. It is linked to the mainland by the Clachan Bridge , built in 1792, and covered in fairy foxgloves .

The main settlement on Seil is Ellenabeich , originally a separate island, where parts of Ring of Bright Water were filmed. Another village is Balvicar . Ferries sail from Ellenabeich to Easdale, and from Cuan on the island to Luing.
