Spyder

Spyder or Spider is a term for a convertible car body style. The first spyder was the Porsche 550 Spyder, and the term implied an even more spartan top than the similar roadster. This meaning has been lost, and the term now has been used by many automakers as a synonym for convertible, notably on the Toyota MR2 and Mitsubishi Eclipse.
