The four main characters, Gordie Lachance and his three friends Chris Chambers, Teddy Duchamp, and Vern Tessio , are twelve-year-old boys who set out to find the body of a missing kid who was hit by a train, found on the tracks by Vern's older brother, Billy and his friend Charlie Hogan. They set out on this journey looking to be heroes, but the journey turns to be about self-discovery. When the boys encounter the town's gang also after the body they uncover a strenght the never knew they had. This is a great film about freindship and the indelible experiences of growing up.
