Subaru of Indiana Automotive (formerly Subaru Isuzu Automotive and normally called SIA) is an automobile manufacturer in Lafayette, Indiana. It began as a joint venture between Subaru and Isuzu before the latter fell on hard times. The plant opened in 1988 and began producing the Subaru Legacy and Isuzu Rodeo in 1989. Subaru purchased Isuzu's interest in the venture in 2003 for $1 as that company's sales faltered.
