Suzuki Alto is a very small car (keicar) by Suzuki Motors. Its selling points include low price and good fuel economy. The model was introduced in 1979 and the latest model is the Alto GL. It's powered by a 1.1 L (1061 cc), straight-4 engine making 62 hp. The car does 0–100 km/h in 16.30 s and the top speed is 150 km/h.
A turbocharged model called the Alto RS-X was also sold.
The Suzuki Alto is also built in India by Maruti Udyog. The '86 model is there the Maruti 800, the '94 model is the
Maruti Zen and the '02 model is the Maruti Alto . All
Indian models are only available with five doors.
