The Third Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was issued in 2001.
It consists of the reports of three working groups and a synthesis:
- WGI: The Scientific Basis
- WGII: Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability
- WGIII: Mitigation
- Synthesis Report
The WGI covers the same areas as for the SAR but WG's II & III cover slightly different areas.
