Toyota Racing Development is the in-house tuning shop for all Toyota, Lexus, and Scion cars, which are Toyota brands and domestically branded as such in Japan. TRD is responsible both for improving street cars for more performance and supporting Toyota's racing interests around the world. They participate in the All Japan Championship Series, JGTC, and American CART series, and they have a Formula One team.
