The Toyota AZ engine family is a straight-4 piston engine series. The AZ series uses an aluminum engine block and aluminum DOHC cylinder heads. It uses MFI fuel injection, has 4 valves per cylinder with VVT-i and features forged steel connecting rods.
2AZ-FE
The 2AZ-FE is a 2.4 L (2362 cc) version built in Georgetown, KY. Bore is 88.5 mm and stroke is 96 mm. Output is 157 hp (117 kW) at 5600 RPM with 162 ft·lbf (220 N·m) of torque at 4000 RPM. The 2AZ-FE also has a one-piece cast camshaft and cast aluminum intake manifold.
Applications:
A different version found in the Toyota RAV-4 produces 165 hp (123 kW) at 4000 RPM and 224 ft·lbf (304 N·m) of torque at 4000 RPM.
