Volvo 760

Volvo 760 is an automobile from Volvo. The 760 was Volvo's first major foray into the luxury car market, and was successful in that regard. It was introduced to the U.S. for 1983 model year as the 760 GLE sedan, with wagon and turbo variants added over the years. The 760 also spawned a less optioned version, the 740, introduced for the 1985 model year. The entire 760 series was discontinued after the 1990 model year, replaced by the Volvo 940, and later, the 960, both using the 760 chassis. All 760s were built in Kalmar, Sweden. Production ended on June 27, 1990.
