Wolfgang von Trips

Wolfgang von Trips (May 4, 1928 - September 10, 1961) was a Formula One driver from Germany. He participated in 27 grands prix, debuting on January 13, 1957. He won 2 races, secured 1 pole position, achieved 6 podiums, and scored a total of 56 championship points.

He was killed in an accident at Monza while driving for Ferrari. After a collision his car became airborne and crashed into a side barrier, killing von Trips and fourteen spectators.
