Yasu District, Shiga

Yasu (野洲郡; -gun) was a district located in Shiga, Japan. The district was dissolved when Chuzu and Yasu towns merged on Oct. 1, 2004 to form Yasu city.

In 2003, the district had an estimated population of 49,155 and a density of 799.92 persons per km². The total area was 61.45 km&sup2.
